Comeback Complete

I’ve just barely got through all the March magazine issues, and already the April covers are starting to drop. The latest being Vogue's "Shape" issue cover, which features a very elegant looking Jennifer Lopez shot by Mert and Marcus in a dress from Bottega Veneta’s spring 2012 collection. Surprisingly, this only marks Jennifer's second time on the Vogue cover, the first being 7 years ago in the January 2005 issue. I'd say it's a slightly odd decision on Vogue's part to use a rather tight shot of the star, rather than zooming out on her whole, very shapely body seeing as she’s covering the 'shape' issue. Just look at those arms. The colour scheme for the cover is almost identical to that of the one used for Rihanna's 2011 cover, not to discredit that the scheme has worked great both times round, but for me, it marks another odd and questionable decision from Vogue.

It's been a hectic time of late for J. Lo who has dropped track after track, divorced ex-husband Marc Antony, judged American Idol and debuted her new perfume and clothing lines, sealing the deal with a Vogue cover seems like the fitting next step. Jennifer Lopez's comeback is complete.

Flawless.
